MWCIA

Click on the stars to see the advantages
1. EXTRA BUSINESS
As a Registered Master Window Installer, you will immediately gain an unchallengeable advantage over your local 'non qualified' competitors.

Why on earth would a consumer choose an 'un qualified' installer when they could choose a 'QUALIFIED' REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER

BENEFIT TO YOU – EXTRA BUSINESS
2. KUDOS
Every tradesperson likes to boast about how good they are. And in our role as Chartered Professionals we know that standards can vary immensely. Standards must be set and in the window and conservatory industry, those standards are MWCIA Membership.

Members of the MWCIA are awarded the title of 'REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER' which is due reward for them having achieved their MTC qualification, which is the minimum requirement for Membership.

You can wear your REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER embroidered badge on work wear along with your REGISTERED MASTER TRADESMAN Lanyard.

Your non qualified local competitors will be green with envy. You will get maximum kudos.

BENEFIT TO YOU – EXTRA BUSINESS
3. RECOGNITION
The recognition given to MWCIA Members is unique -
  • The wearing of the REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER badge displays the installers qualification and is readily recognised
  • The wearing of the REGISTERED MASTER TRADESMAN lanyard adds to the recognition
  • Prominent vehicle vinyl's
  • Unique Consumer Charter

All of the above seek to provide recognition for the MWCIA member and signifies to the general public that the installer is a cut above the ordinary and indeed is a REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER working to highest professional standards and providing a high level of customer care.

BENEFIT TO YOU – EXTRA BUSINESS

4. INCREASED PROFITS
Increased profits come about because the general public, by and large, will pay that little bit extra for professional quality trades people. Any MWCIA member when attending a consumers property displaying their REGISTERED MASTER WINDOW INSTALLER badge and presenting their MTC card and a copy of the Consumer Charter, will give rise to the consumer being willing to pay that little bit extra, knowing full well that they will receive, respect, professionalism, a quality job, from the MWCIA member and also receive good after sales service.

BENEFIT TO YOU – EXTRA BUSINESS

5. MEMBERSHIP OF AN EXCLUSIVE ‘CLUB’
Membership of the MWCIA is exclusive.

In the first instance, all applicants must hold a valid MTC Card (FENSA, Assure, Certass, BM Trada) and will be deemed therefore to have undergone technical vetting.

Secondly, the MWCIA criteria dictates that all Master Installers work to a strict Consumer Charter.

MWCIA Members therefore are somewhat elitist in that they are 'extraordinary' rather than 'ordinary'.

6. MEDIATION & DISPUTE SERVICE
All members of the MWCIA receive a full Dispute Resolution Service from HAS Resolution included in their MWCIA Membership. This also includes for regular Technical / Legal Information papers . Expert Witness support, dispute resolution, advice on Terms and Conditions, regular information on Technical and Building Reg matters. See HAS Resolution Website.

WELCOME TO MWCIA
Every tradesperson wants more work, indeed the perennial question posed by all trades people working within the UK, is:

‘How do I get more work?’

In our opinion, the route to more work is for trades people to be - polite, respectful, professional and provide a good level of workmanship for a fair price.

Sound logical doesn’t it? Unfortunately in our role as Private Practice Building Surveyors and Expert Witnesses, we know that the alternative is true in some cases.

We have close links with a number of Consumer Organisations (typically – The Consumer Advice Society, Age Care UK) whereby consumers looking for reputable, honest trades people are directed to their Local MWCIA member.

There are thousands upon thousands of consumers ‘hoodwinked’ by ‘rouge traders’ and ‘cowboy builders’ every week throughout the UK. These sort of practices do not only harm the industry generally, but also harm the legions of highly professional trades people who do provide good, professional services at a fair price with respect and politeness.

The time has come for the best trades people in the industry to be recognised, by becoming a member of the MWCIA. The recognition which all professional trades people should aim for.
